The cold air blowing down my back made the hair on my arms stand up as I was about to deliver some really bad news.
Maybe I said yes to a consulting project that was over my head.
See, I hardly slept the night before even though I was staying in one of the finest hotels in the historic downtown district.
Every hour I would wake up from the sound of cars and look at the night skyline and admire how beautiful it looked.

Everything seems a blur after that. The next thing I remember was standing in the boardroom.
There were multiple cameras rolling and they were all focused on me.
I opened my mouth and nothing came out.
Next I fumbled for my bottle of cold water the administrative assistant just handed me.
If this didn’t help maybe I could fake a heat stroke.
As the water hit the back of my throat it was like Bruce Banner turning into the Incredible Hulk.
My marketing super powers kicked in.
The next words I would utter sent shockwaves and set the stage for the next few hours.
“You don’t have a traffic problem, you have a conversion problem.”
Everyone in the room went silent.
Faces started turning blood red, and a few people started to nervously click their ink pens.
Others were staring at me so hard that if looks could kill I would have been a dead man.
They hired me for the truth, and it’s the truth they were going to get.
For the next few hours I tore their marketing funnels to shreds in front of 17 people.

You can work 24/7 trying to get cheaper traffic. Though you will get cheaper traffic it would be 10x more profitable to focus on converting traffic into buyers.
